Fractions from antiquity to modern times

Dividing a good into different parts is an old practice. Each civilization has invented a manner to remind carried out operations, while inventing specific ratings, suiting with the numbering system used at that time. For example, populations using fractions in base sixty fractions created a marking for sexagesimal fractions. During this lecture, Dr Abdeljaouad,especially talked about the evolution of different marking systems used for fractions by Arabs.
