Monkey pox

At Ibn Khaldoun Auditorium

Monkey pox is a viral zoonosis caused by a type of Orthopoxvirus. The first case of Monkeypox virus infection was detected in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1970. At that time, it was not considered as a worldwide serious threat. However in May 2022, the World Health Organization has declared that nearly 100 cases of monkey pox have been identified in twelve countries around the world.

What about the news on this epidemic? What are the symptoms of monkey pox infection? What are the transmission means? What are the prevention means?

To answer all these questions and to raise the public’s awareness about this disease, the Tunis Science City organizes a series of lectures followed by debates, on Friday, June 17th, 2022, starting at 2.00 at the auditorium of Ibn KHALDOUN.
