The impacts of climate change on plant health

From 3.00pm to 5.30 pm

At Al Khawarizmi Auditorium

Our planet is warming very quickly and human activities contribute significantly to this change. Climate change will have a great and significant impact on the insects’ growth, whether they are beneficial or harmful. Insects which play a prominent role in our agricultural environments (pollinators, devastating, biological control agents) will inevitably have effects on the agricultural productivity and food security.

On the occasion of the International Year of Plant Health, the Tunis Science City will organize on Friday, January 24th, 2020, two lectures. The first one is entitled “Drone use in agriculture in Tunisia” and will be given by Mr. Ilyes HANFI, Aeronautical Engineer and Technical and Exploitation Director at SONAPROV, and the second one is entitled “The impacts of climate change on plant health” and will be given by Pr. Kaouthar GRISSA LEBDI, Professor at the National Institute of Agronomy of Tunis, Department of plant health and environment. The entry is free.
