Technological advances in the drone industry are constantly evolving and progressing. Their use has become necessary in several sectors such as security, transport, agricultural control, urban planning, first aid, etc.
As part of the democratization process for the use of drones, the Tunis Science City organizes the "City drones 2023" event which will take place on Saturday, February 25th, 2023, in partnership with the "Sky for all" Association and in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture along with institutions active in this field, such as the General Direction of the National Guard of the Ministry of the Interior, the General Direction of Civil Aviation (DGAC), the Agency for the Promotion of Industry (API), the Agency for the Promotion of Agricultural Investment (APIA) and the National Agency of Frequencies (ANF).
It is a challenge that aims to gather schools and aviation enthusiasts and professionals around the theme of drones. Several activities are scheduled during this day:
- A "Drone Race" competition which calls for competitors over 16 years old possessing their own drones to compete in INDOOR drone races.
- A talk-show bringing together all involved and active parties for presentations and exchanges in the field of drones.
- A launch of two national titles around aeronautical innovation and the best educational drones for the year 2023.
- Scientific and technological workshops on drones.
