Under the theme "Building peace in the minds of men and women Friday 28 January 2022 from 14:00
The Tunis Science City celebrated on Friday, January 28th, 2022, the International Education Day, under the theme "Building peace in the minds of men and women". A programme has been elaborated on this occasion including conferences,which was given by specialists in the field of education around different themes dealing with the importance of education for sustainable development and for the well-being of people, as well as for common prosperity and consolidation of peace on the global scale. This day is celebrated worldwide with the aim of highlighting the importance of education and the need to promote teachers and learners. The Tunis Science City is working to achieve the same goals by disseminating the scientific culture to the general public of all ages, in order to spread peace and to eliminate poverty, and promote sustainable development.
The United Nations General Assembly has proclaimed January 24th as the International Day of Education since 2018, as education is a considered as a basic human right, having a common interest, and a responsibility towards humanity, and also a way to break the vicious cycle of poverty, which contributes to the backwardness of populations around the world.
