Co-organized by the Tunis Science City and the European Union
Today, to make the Tunis Science City a place of learning and of cultural importance, where citizens may explore the techniques of dissemination of science, is necessarily depending on a strategy promoting the popularization of culture and science within an appropriate legislative and organizational framework.
The dynamics of science democratization deeply strengthen the relationship between science and citizens. Thus, the increasing need for means of scientific diffusion, rapprochement and the sharing of the achievements made by the National System of Research and Innovation (SNRI) require innovative methods and options, as well as a greater coordination between the different main actors relative to science and its dissemination, for the benefit of the society, and mainly the integration of European and international networks of similar structures for experience and success stories exchange.
In this context, the Tunis Science City co-organized with the European Union, an International Seminar under the theme of "Culture and Scientific Popularization", which will occur on the 7th and 8th of October 2021, at the Golden Tulip Hotel (El Mechtel) located in Tunis.
Different topics were presented by prominent European and Tunisian speakers in order to make an exchange of knowledge with the stakeholders about European Union’s achievements in the field of popularization and dissemination of science to citizens and in promoting social commitment to scientific culture, and thus to define new strategies for the reform of the current system. The Tunis Science City is willing to diversify its scientific content, its projects and its scope which consequently become catalysts of social change, creating wealth and promoting employability within a framework of socio-economic development.
