The Eureka Prize ceremony

The Tunis Science City (TSC), in collaboration with the Association of Museums and Centres for the Development of Scientific, Technical and Industrial Culture (AMCSTI, France), and MED21 Program, organized on Thursday, February 27th, 2020 the Eureka prize ceremony. This award recognizes, since 2017, stakeholders engaged in the promotion of teaching and popularization of science in the Mediterranean region. Two laureates from both sides of the Mediterranean are selected:

  • Professor Jamel Mimouni , Laureate of the Eureka Prize from the Mediterranean Southern Side. He is a physician from Mentouri University of Constantine 1 in Algeria, President of “Sirus” Astronomy Association and President of the African Astronomy Association.
  • Professor François Taddei, Laureate of the Eureka Prize from the Mediterranean Northern Side. He is a Researches Director at INSERM, Knight of the Order of Academic Arts and letters Palms and Honoris Causa Doctor from the Catholic University of Louvain in February 2020.
