The International Translation Day

Under the theme of “The role of translation in the dissemination of the scientific culture, in bringing peoples closer and in the development of peace around the world”

The Tunis Science City celebrates on September 30th, 2021, in collaboration with the Higher Institute of Languages of Tunis (ISLT), Carthage University, the International Translation Day, and in participation with the Cultural Centre of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tunis, under the theme of “The role of translation in the dissemination of the scientific culture, in bringing peoples closer and in the development of peace around the world”. The programme of the day is rich and it includes five conferences about the importance of translation and its role for the transmission of science from one country to another and also shed light on the limits of translation, the difficulties related to it and the way one deals with it. It is worth to note that translation is one important tool used to bring people close together.
