World Environment Day 2022

Within the framework of the scientific programme elaborated for the year 2022, and as part of its mission which consists of disseminating the scientific culture, the Tunis Science City celebrates the World Environment Day, on Saturday, June 4th, 2022.

The World Environment Day is part of the collective efforts made for the protection of environment and for sustainable development. The aim of this event is to make people aware about the problems threatening the environment. The challenges that face humanity are keeping a healthier environment and a curbed climate change. Actions must be multiplied and taken and efforts must be deployed by everyone.

This scientific event is organized in partnership with” AGEOS” Association and the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies.

The main theme of this year is dedicated to geo-education, and more precisely in the field of coasts and wetlands. Other themes will also be tackled including plastic pollution, mainly focusing on beaches.

The programme during this day includes a series of lectures, scientific workshops, exhibitions, a scientific play and a film screening.
