World Meteorology Day 2019

Within the framework of sustaining partnership works between public establishments to disseminate the scientific culture, the Tunis Science City will celebrate, in partnership with the National Institute of Meteorology, the World Meteorology Day, on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019. The programme includes three lectures. The first one is entitled “Solar energy and the value of meteorological information”, and will be given Mr. Samir BEN ABDALLAH, Director of geophysics and astronomy at the National Institute of Meteorology. The second one is entitled “The influence of climatic changes on solar energy and precipitations”, and will be given by Mr. Haithem BELEGHRISI, Head of service of weather forecast at the same Institute. The last one is entitled “Climate and weather” and will be given by Mrs. Asma BEN ROMDHANE, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of Tunis. The programme also includes an exhibition presenting the different systems used in meteorology, and seismic monitoring, as well as a competition for children around the theme of “The presentation of weather forecast”. The entry to this event is free.
