On the occasion of the spring equinox, the Tunis Science City (CST) organizes, in partnership with the Astronomical Society of Tunisia (SAT), an astronomy evening about Spring Equinox, on Saturday, March 12th,starting from 6:00 pm.

The programme includes a conference about the Spring Equinox, and will be presented by the scientific mediator Mr. Chedly Mhamdi, along with astronomical observations of the Moon and the Orion nebula through telescopes. It also includes a workshop on Star Tourism.

Moreover, and as Tunisia has recently obtained the first prize in the Kibocube competition, launched by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), a conference entitled “The First Tunisian Academic Satellite TUNSAT 1” will be presented to the public on this occasion by :

Mr. Lassad Amami, Doctor and engineer specialized in Aerospace and Technical Director of TUNSAT-1, with Mr. Mohamed Amine Bensalem, Mechanical Engineer and member of the Kibocube team.

The TUNSAT-1 cubesat, designed by Tunisian engineers and researchers from the Private Higher School of Engineering and Applied Technologies (ESPITA), in partnership with the Tunisian Space Association (TUNSA), will be launched from the International Space Station (ISS) in 2023.
