Policy regarding the access to administrative documents
The right of access to administrative documents is a key element to insure administrative transparency and consequently, offers an opportunity to reconcile with citizens by making him a partner. Indeed, all natural or legal persons have the right of access to administrative documents either by proactive disclosure or by disclosure on request. Thus, we can testify of the advent of a new democratic approach at the Tunisian administration, essentially based on confidence and interaction between the citizen and the state structures.

The access to administrative documents is regulated by the following laws:
- Decree-law n° 2011-41 of May 26, 2011, relative to the access to administrative documents of governmental organizations.
- Decree-law n° 2011-54 of June 11, 2011, amending and supplementing the decree-law n°2011-41 of May 26, 2011, relative to the access to administrative documents of governmental organizations.
- Circular of the Head of Government n°25 of May 25, 2012 relative to the access to administrative documents of governmental organizations.
