Astronomy evening : Winter constellations

16-02-2013
Astronomy evening : Winter constellations

Some constellations are visible only in winter. One of the most well-known is Orion. Orion, the Hunter, is by far the most famous seasonal constellation. No other is more distinct or bright as this northern winter constellation. The famous Orion's Belt makes the hunter easy to find in the night sky. The astronomy evening of that day was composed of three parts:
-an exposé giving a detailed description of our winter night sky, from sunset to sunrise,
-a workshop with the purpose of familiarizing the lay-public with the sky and its constellation,
- a sky Observation with telescope at the disposal of everybody.
