Comets are small, fragile, irregularly shaped bodies. By night, they look like a faint smudge of light with their tails extending away from their main body. The astronomy evening  included observation of comets through telescopes and an exposé about the same topic. Amateur astronomers  had the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the beautiful and awe-inspiring sights of the night sky.
