Dark Matter Day

The dark matter is a mysterious natural component, which fascinates both adults and youngsters and sparks the curiosity of researchers. It explains how our universe is composed of galaxies, and galaxy clusters, as well as huge gaps. Does it really exist? What is its composition? What is the relation between the dark matter and the Einstein Gravitation Theory? To shed light on this mysterious matter, scientists who represent laboratories of particle physics around the world created the event and called it “The Dark Matter Day”. The Tunis Science City organized, within this framework, on Wednesday, October 31st, a lecture entitled “The dark matter” which was given by Mr. Adel Trabelsi, Professor of physics at the Faculty of Science of Tunis and launched a new show at the Planetarium entitled “Dark Matter Mystery” (PURDUE University, USA).
