Within the framework of the new exhibition entitled “Cranks and gear wheels”, and in collaboration with SKILL’Z , scientific workshops for children aged between 8 and 12 years old were jointly organized. SKILL’Z has begun its activities recently in December 2015. Its main mission is to provide children with basic skills of the 21st century with only one slogan, “learning with fun”. SKILL’Z is meant for children aged between 8 and 12 years old with one objective: encourage them to become creators and tomorrow’s innovators. This workshop presented three constructions with Lego wedo package in order to focus on their mechanisms and their functioning principles. During this workshop, the participant became more familiar with gear wheels, mechanical cams, levers, pulleys and belts. At the end of this workshop, the participant observed how the constructions came to life while moving them with computer programming.
