Immunology deals with physiological functioning of the immune system. The immune system helps the body fight infection by rejecting bacteria and viruses. When the immune system is defective, it fails to protect the body from diseases. To strengthen public awareness of the importance of the immune system to each person’s health, the Tunis Science City organized jointly with the Société Tunisienne d’Immunologie (STI) a Day of Immunology.
