Partial solar eclipse

20-03-2015
Partial solar eclipse

Partial solar eclipses happen when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth, without aligning in a perfectly straight line. Thus, the Moon only partially covers the Sun's disc. It casts the lighter, outer part of its shadow, the penumbra, on Earth. At the Tunis Science City the partial eclipse begins at 9.14 am. Its maximum will be reached at 10.19 am. It ends at 11.29 am.
