 Solar activity and measurement of solar eruptions from home

by Dr. Ahmed Ammar, from the laboratory of atomic and molecular spectroscopy and LSAMA applications, Department of Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis.

The Tunis Science City organized, on Friday, October 12, a lecture for juniors entitled “Solar activity and measurement of solar eruptions from home”, which was given by Dr. Ahmed Ammar, from the laboratory of atomic and molecular spectroscopy and LSAMA applications, Department of Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis. The lecturer spoke about how a solar eruption can be detected and followed using satellites or a simple electronic card connected to a computer with an antenna. The measurements are based on the electromagnetic signals records, classified as very low-frequencies VLF.
