The Tunisian gastronomy is part of the Mediterranean gastronomy. It benefits from a multicultural heritage (Turkish, Andalusian, and Berber). It is one of the richest and varied one in the Mediterranean basin. Its plates contain panoply of starches, and more precisely in soups and stews, as well as in cakes and sweets.
