Monuments like water temples in Zaghouan or the Aghlabid basins in Kairouan highlight the importance of water through the history of Tunisia. Indeed water was and still is crucial to our existence and our way of life. However, more than half of humanity will be living with water shortage in the next two decades warns a United Nations estimate. Global warming is not only the first and main cause for such a situation bu also waste and unadequate management. They are both considered by experts as the main culprits behind growing water problems.
