The nutritional value of starches

Starches are present in the different world's countries meals, but the large consumers belong to the Mediterranean countries. Starches have considerable nutritional benefits. They have very important energy value: they are rich in complex carbohydrates, nutritive fibres, and represent an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. Today, starches are most of the time used in organic food.
