The triumph of Hannibal in the battle of Trasimeno was the theme of our science café. During this meeting, Mr. Abdelaziz Belkhoja spoke about the beginning and the consequences of this third great victory of Hannibal on the Italian territory on the 21st of June 217 B.C. Leaving aside the tactical aspect of this particular and original battle, trasimeno marked a new departure and changed totally the strategy of Rome, which disturbed a lot Hannibal’s objective.
