Water and agriculture

Freshwater is the lifeblood of agriculture. That’s why more than 75% of the water that people use goes to agriculture. But, with population growth water scarcity is likely to worsen sharply. To avoid water shortage and lack of food production, human beings have to use water rationally. They have to elaborate irrigation scheduling and effective irrigation techniques.
