Aeronautics Days

Within the framework of its scientific and cultural activities, and in partnership with the Tunisian Association of Aeronautics (ATA), the Tunis Science City (TSC) will organize for the benefit of the large public, especially for youngsters, the Aeronautics Days, on December 18th and 19th, 2019, under the theme of “The City is taking wings”. Two main events will be celebrated during December: the International Day of Civil Aviation (December 7th), and the commemoration of the first intercontinental flight in the History made by Roland GARROS, from Tunis to Rome, on December 18th, 1912. Moreover, we celebrate this year the 110th anniversary of the first air passengers, flying in a balloon piloted by the Tunisian, Albert Sammama CHEKLY.

The programme of the Aeronautics Days will include two lectures followed by debates, which will be given by professionals in this field, a contest of planes construction with a flight test, exhibitions and booths booked by different companies, associations, national clubs acting in the aeronautics field, film screenings, demonstration workshops, and a show of balloons and paramotor for photo shoots.
