First LEGO League is a challenge which proposes two young teams who participate in solving problems in a definite scientific field, using a professional approach: research, exchange, drawing, construction and test. During the school year, young children aged between 9 and 16 years have to think about the imposed theme while working on a research. At the same time, they have to make and program a robot “Mindstorms”, which must be able to do a series of tests in a limited time. In a time limit of eight weeks for project making , the two teams will face each other during national and/or international tournaments. Four criteria will be taken into consideration: the design and the programming of the robot, the research project, the team work and the match.
This year, the 30th season of FIRST was the season of INTO ORBIT. The FLL Tunisia, organized, in partnership with the Tunis Science City, the second national competition on March 17th, 2019, at the Tunis Science City.
Two competitions were organized. The festival of FLL Junior for children aged between 6 and 9 years old around the theme of “Moon mission” and the FLL completion “INTO ORBIT” for youngsters aged between 10 and 16 years old. The winner team will be able to participate in the international competition on April 29th in Detroit, USA.
