from 01-11-2008 to 22-03-2009

Within the framework of the celebration of the International Year of Astronomy (IYA) 2009, a new hands-on scientific exhibition entitled “Mars destination” was hosted at the Tunis Science City’s Temporary exhibition hall from November 1, 2008 to March 22, 2009. This exhibition offered a glimpse into the planet Mars enabling the lay-public to discover its hidden secrets. Mars is known as the “Red Planet”, it is the fourth planet of the solar system with two satellites: PHOBOS and DEIMOS. Its surface is mainly composed of silicon oxides and iron oxides. The iron oxides give to the ground of Mars its special rust color.
