Partial Lunar Eclipse

The last Lunar Eclipse occurring in 2023, will take place on Saturday, October 28th, 2023. It will be partial and visible from different regions of the world, including from Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, most of South America, the Atlantic Pacific, the Indian Ocean, the Arctic and Antartica. The penumbral phase of the Lunar Eclipse will start at 7.01 pm (local time) and it will reach its maximum phase at 9.14 pm (local time), during that moment the Moon will appear with darkened indentation. The penumbral phase will end at 11.26 pm (local time).

On this occasion, the City of Sciences in Tunis will organize an astronomy evening on Saturday, October 28th, to cover this astronomical event and it will start at 7.00 pm. Apart from observing the different phases of the Lunar eclipse, there will be observations with telescopes of Jupiter and Saturn planets along with a conference dedicated to the Lunar Eclipse.
