Within the framework of sustaining partnership works between public establishments to disseminate the scientific culture, the Tunis Science City celebrated, in partnership with the National Institute of Meteorology, the World Meteorology Day, on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019. The programme included three lectures. The first one was entitled “Solar energy and the value of meteorological information”, and was given by Mr. Samir BEN ABDALLAH, Director of geophysics and astronomy at the National Institute of Meteorology. The second one was entitled “The influence of climatic changes on solar energy and precipitations”, and was given by Mr. Haithem BELEGHRISI, Head of service of weather forecast at the same Institute. The last one was entitled “Climate and weather” and was given by Mrs. Asma BEN ROMDHANE, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of Tunis. The programme also included an exhibition presenting the different systems used in meteorology, and seismic monitoring, as well as a competition for children around the theme of “The presentation of weather forecast”.
